I work with planetary atmospheres and oceans, focusing on large scale dynamics. My interests are at the intersection between Earth and Planetary Sciences, looking at the fundamental physics that control all planetary atmospheres including our own.

In my current work, I utilize idealized GCMs to investigate the energy and moisture budgets on Earth-like planets and their responses to extreme climate conditions. The results have implications for climate change on Earth, climate and paleoclimate on planets in our solar system (especially Mars), as well as setting up the fundamentals for future study of smaller exoplanets.
